The old East LIncoln Elementary was built in 1942 with renovations in the early 1970’s and the gymnasium addition in 1988. The challenge was to construct the new elementary school on the same site, connect to the 1988 addition, renovate that space, then demolish the old 1942 facility and complete the site work. All of this was accomplished while the school remained operational throughout construction.

​Some brick and other materials were reused from the demolished 1942 structure. Both academic wings were designed with future expansion in mind.
